Labyrinth Ear || Walk on the Moon (Arthur Russell Cover)

Labyrinth Ear - Walk on the Moon (Arthur Russell Cover)
It's always a fantastic thing to open up my inbox and see a new song from [Labyrinth Ear]. It seems that in this installment they have taken a classic from 1980s folk/rock musician [Arthur Russell] and placed their own signature electro touch on the very smooth, calming "Walk on the Moon." Along with a bit of a bass boost and a very new wave-y touch to the guitar riff that keeps the song moving, they have given the track a sort of "sonic face-lift" making it a much more accessible track by today's standards. You can snag the track over at Labyrinth Ear's website (linked above) and can compare the cover to the original [here]. While you are there I would suggest checking out their "Oak EP," it's sublime.

Labyrinth Ear || White Gold (Video)

This video is touching, in a creepy sort of way. It's soothing though, and for that, I hope you enjoy. The
footage was taken from A Midsummer Night's Dream by Jiri Trnka. Grab Labyrinth Ear's "Oak Ep" [here].

Labyrinth Ear || Oak EP

Labyrinth Ear - Navy Light
Lithium, White Gold, Snow White, Navy Light, Wildflowers. 5 tracks. All it takes to bring down the roof upon: a club, your brain, my brain, stadiums, cities, villages, speakers, nations, a bicycle, children, lambs, the pope, everyone, everything, everynone. [Labyrinth Ear's] Oak EP is a masterpiece starting with club banger Lithium and ending with [previously reported] upon Wild Flowers. Don't let the term "club banger" mislead you though, for this isn't your typical Black Eyed Peas/Deadmau5/Kesha shit. This is how "club banger" should be described. This whole EP is mind-bending wormhole waiting to suck you and your Ipod in. Download it [here.]

Labyrinth Ear || Wild Flowers

Labyrinth Ear - Wild Flowers
You're walking down a runway, flashing lights and glitter abound. It's like being in a commercial, but this is real. You strut/slide/glide/twirl as the crowd slowly pulls you closer and closer to the end. You can tell that everyone, of all genders, wants you now. You can tell that what you are doing is working. You're nearing the end, the lights, the flashes, the whispers all around are drawing into a complete 360 save the path of fire you left trailing you. You take one final twirl and shoot a pose but you keep walking. Stop. You step out of a carpeted hallway and into your living room.
