Purity Ring - Ungirthed
Purity Ring - Ungirthed (Christian AIDS Remix)
"Ungirthed" is easily my favorite song at the moment. From its initial claps and bouncing vocal samples to waves of bass that keep you hooked, but don't blast you away like dubstep, it's a tornado of beauty and sound. And if that wasn't enough to keep you entranced, the ever mystical voice of lead singer Megan James, chants stanzas of beckoning calls. Then, as if that wasn't enough of a sonic euphoria, [Purity Ring's] masterpiece gets an overhaul from another recent favorite, [Christian AIDS]. AIDS takes the song, and smooths it out with some fuzz, but still retains that perfect vocal structure. Both are powerful songs, with enough strength to send you whirling out of your own brain. I'm on the edge of my seat to hear more, from both of these artists.
